5-Fuselage Side    
Inside Layup

5-Fuselage Side  I called in the calvery to help with the first really big layup.  That's Me, Spodman, and DaveB from the forums.  It took us about 4.5 hours to complete the layup.  I think all had a good time.

  I opted to NOT attached the upper longeron during the layup.  It just seemed like too much for one day. 

  Here I've cut the cured glass between the two sides and inserted a board covered in tape to prevent flox from sticking to it.

  Here you can see that I've used two large clamps to the board down to the table.

  Because the board can't move, I used wood wedges to hold the upper longeron in place.  It worked very well.



     
Nice micro corners.

  With all the different angles I thought I'd try applying the uni like a bid tape on aluminum foil.  This is me doing the layup on a board.
